When Does Health Become An Issue?

Until your health is challenged then life may well seem a bed of roses but the impact of diet, lifestyle, personal care all have some bearing on your well-being in varying degrees. Diet one would think was at the top of the list when it comes to ensuring you are able to perform at the peak level but going by recent press reports there may well be some debate on the health of the population. My personal experience has given me a particular view of how diet has affected my day to day life after having surgery in 1993 for the repair of my nasal passage which had been compromised by a pituitary tumour resulting in a series of operations to rectify the opening of the space taken by the tumour. A fuller account of my experience can be found on my Squidoo for those wishing to know more about my medical history.

No matter what reason health is a 24 hour proposition that requires attention whether it be conscious or sub-conscious, one we control and the other happens whether we like it or not. We have the ability to heal ourselves courtesy of the in-built system that we are born with while other aspects of our health require the administration of medication in the form of drugs, practical assistance such as casts, metallic frames to facillitate the bonding of bones and stitches to bring skin back together are all part of the health regime we subscribe to.

Medicines doors have perhaps been locked to the admission of new and non-mainstream forms of "treatment" with a cautious view of the alternative/complementary therapies that have been shown to work in the "cure" of conditions ranging from allergies to back pain or fatigue to cancer. Scepticism affords us the refusal to accept any progress with use of new formulations from the nutriceutical industry that has developed a range of products that have now proven their worth in numerous cases where "convention" has failed.

The prevalence of disease in the Western World in spite of the medical advances surely shows us that we must pay particular attention to how we approach the whole question of health. Delivering a cure is fine when it works but prevention through an informed public is surely a more cost effective way to deal with the escalating price of care in hospital and witness the drastic cost cutting that is about to befall the UK's hospitals.

One of the world's foremost manufacturers of health and personal care products is NuSkin, visit and watch the company video which demonstrates it's position and commitment to providing the best products to those who need and want to ensure their quality of life into retirement.
